HeyReach vs Expandi: Features, Pricing and Safety Compared
On this page
HeyReach and Expandi both run LinkedIn outreach from the cloud and both bill per LinkedIn account. So if you're weighing HeyReach vs Expandi, the choice comes down to how many accounts you run and where your cold email lives.
We build Omniscient, which has its own LinkedIn sending engine, and on November 2, 2026, we read both vendors' pricing pages and help centers with that engine in mind. We haven't run campaigns in either tool, so everything we say about them comes from what HeyReach and Expandi publish.
Here's our short answer:
- Pick HeyReach if you run many LinkedIn accounts, like an agency with client senders, and want one inbox and one flat bill for all of them.
- Pick Expandi if a small sales team wants LinkedIn and email steps in the same sequence, with a warmup that runs inside the tool.
- Look at Omniscient if you want to approve messages before they go out and keep every reply on a CRM record that fills itself in.
| Tool | What it is | Starting price | Best for |

| Cloud LinkedIn sequences with email steps and a dedicated IP in your country | $99 per seat a month | Small sales teams that want LinkedIn and email together | |
| LinkedIn outreach you approve, inside a CRM that fills itself in | $19 per seat a month, billed yearly | Small B2B teams that want outreach and CRM in one place |

What HeyReach does well
HeyReach is a LinkedIn automation software that runs outreach from many LinkedIn accounts at once and rotates sending between them. Its homepage headline promises "Unlimited senders, one fixed cost," and the plans on its pricing page follow that line:
- Growth gives every sender unlimited campaigns, the API, webhooks and an MCP server.
- Agency costs $999 a month for 25 senders and adds one white label brand and a dedicated Slack channel.
- Unlimited costs $2,999 a month, with a fair use cap of 300 senders.
- The unified inbox lets you reply on behalf of a colleague and send voice notes from your desktop.
HeyReach charges the same way for every LinkedIn account, whether it belongs to a rep or a client. With 25 or more senders, a published flat price plus one inbox across all of them is hard for a per seat tool to match.
What Expandi does well
Expandi is a LinkedIn automation software that runs outreach sequences from the cloud, with a dedicated IP address in your country for each account. Its pricing page lists one Business plan per seat, and these are the parts we'd look at first:
- Business includes unlimited campaigns and templates, a blacklist, duplicate checks and Profile Auto Warm-up.
- Builder campaigns mix invitations, LinkedIn messages, InMail and email, with conditions that branch on whether people accept, reply or engage.
- Email steps send from a Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or SMTP mailbox you connect, per its help center, and its comparison page says a reply pauses the lead.
- An Inbound campaign loads people who viewed your profile, and the comparison page adds post likes as a signal. Profile signals need LinkedIn Premium or Sales Navigator, it says.
Honestly, Expandi reads like a tool built around one rep's account and the people who engage with it. If your buyers answer email as often as LinkedIn, keeping both channels in one sequence saves you a second tool and a second bill.
HeyReach vs Expandi pricing
Both tools bill per LinkedIn account and let teammates who don't send join free, according to HeyReach's pricing page and Expandi's comparison page. The differences show up in the agency plans and in what costs extra:
- HeyReach Growth includes a residential proxy for each sender, while Agency and Unlimited ask you to bring your own proxies.
- HeyReach's email steps run through an Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison plan that you pay for separately.
- Expandi's images, GIFs and video cost extra, and its pricing page lists no price for them.
- HeyReach also runs an early stage program, a discounted plan for new customers under $250,000 in ARR with fewer than 5 people.
Agency and Unlimited teams can ask HeyReach for a 30 day trial. Once Expandi's 7 day trial ends, it charges for the billing period you picked unless you cancel first.
Expandi's help center adds one billing detail to remember: disconnecting a LinkedIn account "doesn't cancel the seat," so remove the seat from your subscription as well. Our guide to HeyReach alternatives lists eight more tools with current prices if neither suits you.
Account safety in HeyReach and Expandi
LinkedIn's page on prohibited software says it doesn't permit third party tools that automate activity on its site. Members who use them "risk having their accounts restricted or shut down," it adds, and that covers every tool in this category, ours included.
Both vendors publish settings that make an account act more like a person, and they split the work differently. HeyReach's connection request article and Expandi's articles on daily limits and active times list these:
| Setting | HeyReach | Expandi |
|---|---|---|
| A new account | Warm it up by hand to "at least 100 connections" before connecting | A warmup you switch on, from 5 actions a day, adding 3 every two days up to 21 |
| Daily invitations | Up to 40, with 25 suggested once warm | A range you set, and Expandi picks a number in it each day |
| Weekly invitations | 200 per sender, and a pause until Monday if LinkedIn's weekly limit is hit | The warmup article suggests staying within 100 actions a week |
| Working hours | A window of 8 to 12 hours | Your days and hours, which the help center suggests varying each day |
| Acceptance rate | Keep it above 20% | Not covered in the articles we read |
| LinkedIn pushes back | Invitations wait a couple of hours, then retry | Not covered in the articles we read |
Thankfully, both vendors give you a weekly number to stay under, because LinkedIn doesn't publish one. Its help page says only that reaching the invitation limit may restrict you, and that this "typically lasts one week." Our guide to the LinkedIn connection request limit explains where the usual numbers come from.
We built the same safety jobs into Omniscient this year, and we chose to have the software handle all five of them. The chart below shows who handles each one in all three tools:
The warmup is the biggest gap we see. HeyReach asks you to grow a new account by hand to at least 100 connections before you connect it, then start at 5 requests a day. Expandi ramps the account inside the tool once you switch on its warmup, and its warmup article notes that changing the settings resets progress to the start.
In Omniscient, the warmup and the slowdown run on their own:
- A new sender starts at 5 invitations a day and adds 2 a day until it reaches your limit.
- The warmup starts over after a reconnect or a restriction, even on an old account.
- When fewer than 20% of a week's invitations are accepted, once 20 have gone out, the sender drops to half pace for 3 days.
In the articles we read, neither vendor slows an account by itself when acceptance drops. With either tool, plan to check that number each week and lower your limits when it falls.
HeyReach has also written about LinkedIn acting against the company itself. Its August 7 post says LinkedIn removed the HeyReach company page and restricted four executives' profiles on March 25, 2026, while customer accounts and campaigns kept running normally.
Sequences, email and personalization
HeyReach keeps its sequences on LinkedIn and passes email to other tools. Its help article on sequences lists these building blocks:
- Two conditions, "If connected" and "Open profile check," and the second one needs Sales Navigator.
- Warmup actions before the invitation, such as viewing a profile or liking a recent post, with a daily limit of 40 per sender.
- Invitations with an optional note, messages with A/B variants, and InMail from a Sales Navigator account.
- A Find Email step, then Add to Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison for the email part.
- A wait of at least 3 hours between most steps.
Expandi puts email inside the sequence itself, and its comparison page counts more conditions than HeyReach's two. The same page says signal campaigns pick up new matches about once a day.
On personalization, HeyReach automates voice notes, which Expandi's comparison page says it doesn't offer. Expandi instead sells image and GIF personalization through Hyperise and video through Sendspark as paid extras.
Luckily, the two trials line up well enough to test both tools side by side before you pay:
- 01Start HeyReach first
Its trial runs 14 days and Expandi's runs 7, so start Expandi a week later and both end together.
- 02Use one warm account per tool
HeyReach's help center says not to run other LinkedIn automation tools alongside it.
- 03Match the settings
Give both the same daily invitations and working hours, such as 25 a day in an 8 to 12 hour window.
- 04Send one short sequence
An invitation and one message to two halves of the same list, plus each tool's email step.
- 05Follow the replies
Answer from each inbox and check what reaches your CRM.
Inbox, CRM and integrations
Here's where a lead's reply lands and how it reaches your CRM:
| Where replies go | HeyReach | Expandi |
|---|---|---|
| Inbox | One unified inbox across senders, with sentiment and auto tagged warm leads | A Global Smart Inbox with labels, tags and notes |
| CRMs | HubSpot sync, with Attio and Breakcold on its integrations page | Native HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive |
| Everything else | Zapier, Make, n8n, Clay, the API, webhooks and an MCP server | Zapier, webhooks, API credentials and an MCP server in beta |
Expandi's integrations page adds a sentiment based Salesforce sync with overwrite controls, and LinkedIn activity on the Pipedrive deal timeline. HeyReach's integrations page doesn't list Salesforce or Pipedrive, so you'd connect those through Zapier, Make, n8n or the API.
Where Omniscient fits
Omniscient is a CRM and LinkedIn outreach software that drafts a message for each lead and sends only what your team approves. Every reply lands in one Inbox next to the person's CRM record, and the record fills itself in from your email and calendar.
We built it for small B2B teams that would rather skip the sync between an outreach tool and a CRM, and day to day it works like this:
- Every sender gets the pacing above from the first day, plus a profile view 1 to 4 hours before each invitation unless you turn it off.
- Each day's real total lands between 80% and 100% of your limit, inside working hours that shift by up to 20 minutes, with a lunch break.
- A person can be in only one live campaign at a time, and a reply stops their outreach in every campaign.
- Otto, our agent, drafts each message from signals such as a new role, recent posts or company news, and editing a message after its approval clears it.
Admittedly, Omniscient sends on LinkedIn only, with no email steps, and we don't list a dedicated IP or white label. Each campaign also sends from one LinkedIn account, so an agency rotating client senders will be better served by HeyReach.
Paid seats start at $19 per seat a month, billed yearly, and the free trial lasts 14 days with no credit card. The LinkedIn Outbound page and the CRM page show the rest.
Which one should you choose
- Choose HeyReach if you're an agency with many client senders, since its Agency price is published and includes white label.
- Choose Expandi if a small sales team wants LinkedIn and email in one sequence on one bill.
- Choose Expandi if you want image or video personalization, or campaigns that start from profile views.
- Choose Omniscient if you want to approve messages before they send and keep every reply on a CRM record without a sync.
Frankly, we'd let your email setup decide between the first two. If email already lives in another tool, HeyReach adds LinkedIn beside it, and if it doesn't, Expandi covers both channels in one place. Our guide to Expandi alternatives covers eight more options if neither fits.
Questions about HeyReach vs Expandi
Is HeyReach cheaper than Expandi?
At list price, yes. HeyReach Growth costs $79 per sender a month against $99 per seat for Expandi Business, or $64 and $79 billed yearly. HeyReach's email steps need a separate Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison plan, though, and Expandi's images and video cost extra.
Which is safer, HeyReach or Expandi?
Both send from the cloud with a separate IP or proxy for each account, and LinkedIn doesn't permit automation tools of any kind. Expandi can warm up a new account inside the tool, while HeyReach asks you to warm it up by hand and caps each sender at 200 invitations a week. Expandi's own comparison page says "No tool can promise zero risk."
Does HeyReach send emails?
HeyReach doesn't send email itself. It can find a lead's email and pass the lead to Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison, which send the email part.
Is Expandi good for agencies?
Expandi's Agency plan starts at 10 seats, adds white label use and client reports, and is priced on request. HeyReach publishes $999 a month for 25 senders with one white label brand, which is easier to budget.
Can I use HeyReach and Expandi on the same LinkedIn account?
HeyReach's help center says not to use other LinkedIn automation tools while you use HeyReach. Pick one tool per account, and pause the other before you switch.
